I would like to completely remove all traces of IMatch and reinstall latest version from scratch. (I want to do this because an installation dialog comes up sporadically on IMatch start up, as discussed in other threads)
However, I cannot uninstall IMatch because it does not appear in the Add or Remove Programs dialog.
I am running XP with service pack 3.
This problem appears to be very similar to "Problem with zombie version of IMatch" (see this
thread ); and I tried to follow that thread's advice to use Windows Installer Cleanup Utility, but unfortunately MS has withdrawn this utility. ( see
MS page )
I have tried reinstalling IMatch 3.6.0.80, and after this IMatch is in the Add or Remove Programs dialog. However, when uninstall is requested from the Add Remove dialog, it appears to work, but IMatch 3.6.0.80 can still be subsequently executed (?).
I would prefer not to have to reinstall OS, as end of Zombie thread suggested. I do not mind deleting IMatch by hand, but advice would be appreciated.
