How do you hide the versions from view? Or are they visible between the originals? Main reason for my setup is that i don't want to see the versions in the thumbviews and i don't want to "waste" the filter only for versioning.

Thinking about your Vacation example, a simple script should be able to select the eg. printable versions of a selection or result set on the originals.
