If you use the VersionFinder script regularly (which you probably will
) assign it to the One-Click bar AND the Context menu for easy access.
It is sitting in the one-click bar now, next to your version management script. I did not know yet that one could assign a script to the context menu, I have to dig into that option to see how that has to be done.

I'd appreciate some feedback on the Master_Version script after you have used it for some time. Perhaps it's worth posting in the Scripting Corner after all.
I definitely think it is worth posting in the script library. For what it is worth, I only decided to migrate from Adobe PS Elements' organiser and become a registered IMatch user when I learned that the APE database could be imported into IMatch (thanks again khodadad for your assistance!) AND when I read this very discussion on versioning. Your script does just what I hoped for, although I needed some help in getting to grips with it. I guess that some documentation to go with it may solve these problems for other newbies.
The only problem (bug? don't know....) I see now is that it insists on assigning a master category to one specific image that has no version.
This image is one of a series of shots where I had my 20D firing at the maximum rate (5 frames per second) at a running stag. The 'adjacent' image from that series has a version. So we have the following situation:
image1 (having a master and a version) date_time_original 2006:02:03 13:34:51
image2 (having no version) date_time_original 2006:02:03 13:34:51
image2 nevertheless shows up in the master category when I run the script in the "fully automatic master / version check" or "all versions vs all mains" modes.
When I manually remove it from the master category and run the script in the "all versions vs all masters" mode this image gets not assigned to the master category.
Just hoping I am not goofing up this time
