Hi Herman
Your current filenaming works just fine with the VersionFinder on filenames, just use the first 13 characters as relevant. I have to use the first 18 characters.
With your naming scheme you have a slightly higher chance of creating identical filenames. Multiple cameras on the same day could be in the same numbering range (1 - 9999). In my naming that would have to be in the same minute.

I am a bit lost there though, it seems like you are answering the question brought up by Erik. I can understand your logic, but I wonder what the advantage is over your current setup.
It's an extension of the current setup. Erik has JPG's as Main images and the OOCOrg's are Versions. This means that EVERY Main now has a Version. Something you don't want in this case. By taking them them out of cat Versions they don't show up as Master, but still will be found by VersionFinder.
In your setup you could create a Webready version for every image. Same problem.
Having categories in Versions can be handy. eg. Versions.B/W, Versions.Web etc.
With the new VersionFinder you can now select eg. your 2006 Holiday Main images, run VersionFinder, select cat Versions.Web and you'll get all available 2006 Holiday Webready images in one go, iso having to run VersionFinder on every single image. Sounds usefull to me
